High availability and easy access to modern information and communication services is one of the necessary conditions for the success of any organization in today's highly competitive world. Keeping this in mind the Department of Information Technology at Lingaya's Institute of Management & Technology started Bachelors in information Technology in 1999. The program provides the education and training to meet the goals and objectives of Information Technology and computing profession. The department of Information Technology is run by a team of IT professionals/faculty headed by Dr.Suresh Kumar (PhD. in Software Engineering) who is also an Assessor of Quality Assurance (Certified by INTEC UK Ltd.) for quality systems BS 5750/ ISO 9000/EN 29000 and BS 7229/ISO 10011 and having 27 years of industry experience. There is a great opportunity for students after completing B.E in Information Technology, in the fields of(but not limited to) Software Development, IT Product quality and Testing, Mainframes, B.P.O.s, Consultancy of IT Professionals in non IT companies for their SW /IT requirements, Academics and R&D in national and multinational companies in India. Besides, there are abundant opportunities for IT professionals in United States, Countries of European Union and Middle East.
